The last 7 cards of the Major Arcana represent a person’s spiritual awakening from the illusion. However, this can be a monumental task. It is frightening to be born again. The sturdiness of the material world starts to shake, reputations start to get ruined, and people disappear from your life. Your existence begins to reconstruct itself to a higher octave. Some may get afraid (if unprepared), and they may do all they can to halt the process, but Awakening is coming for everyone, it is the beginning of the ride back home to Source.

XV 15 THE DEVIL. Conscious Bondage. AYIN EYE

This image often named the Baphomet, invokes fear and repulsion in most people in the Judeo-Christian world. He is the Devil; you will surely burn for his pleasure after death if you meddle with him. But this guy is much older than that and much more complex.

Notice he has his hands in the direction of ‘as above so below, like the magician, but his downward hand lights the animal desire in man’s tail, whilst his upward hand makes the symbol for ‘what you see is all there is. He is a low polarity Magician and humans are his elements. The card also reflects ‘The Lovers, in imagery & numerology, but these lovers are not in a positive union. The background of this card is blacked out, to further represent blindness to other possibilities. This card can speak of duality. We have the mirror image of The Lovers, the male and female representation, the duality of gender like in all of us (positive & negative), and see how the Devil’s half pedestal is tied to the two humans (it goes both ways this bondage). The Devil represents the other face of Creation, he is a Creator too. This battle is internal, we have him in us, are you caving to his kingdom, turning into what he needs you to be for his survival? Are you keeping others into captivity, maybe even those you claim to love, with your criticisms or complaining? Are you lying and keeping someone in a fake reality by claiming you are happy when in fact you’re not?

In astrology, he is Capricorn and occupies the industrious 10th house of public recognition (and much more). This card is your personal shadow self, he wants you here in the material plane, in bondage to weak carnal desires. This is the slave reality and the Devil wants you to enjoy it as well as be bonded to it. After all, your captivity is his pleasure, he forces you to love him, this is his love language, addiction. You serve him when you get yourself into debt for material stuff. When you feel jealous of others because your creativity is stuck in limitation, and above all when you reject the notion that there is a higher way or more dimensions. His energy thrives on your senseless consumption of food and sex. This card asks if your self-worth is mainly based on material and external projections. He is the King of contracts, where you sell your sacred time for a few soulless trinkets. He lights the male fire of desire and creates poisoned fruit via the female, and she looks up at the Devil, whilst the man watches her. It’s through her he knows the Devil. He is an animal, and he is all about animal desire. His mind’s eye is in the inverted pentagram. Bats wings because he is a psychic vampire capable of shape-shifting. This is the rejection of Spirit and the total giving into the material. He doesn’t do this alone, he has an army who he rules, they have to trick you (with the truth), and spell you every day through all types of scrying mirrors, sounds and sirens.

The chains wrapped around them are not too tight, you can get yourself out of them, and the Devil can not keep you without your consent (subconscious consent will do). Face him, and comprehend his essential role in the divine design. Material desires can not fulfil you, this is why objects alone are never enough. Face The Devil, he is never as scary as he seems.

XVI 16 THE TOWER. Awakening. PEH MOUTH ♂ the exciting intelligence

In this card we see the illusion being struck down by a bolt of lightning, the bolt of awakening. Everything built on the sands of the Devil’s false reality falls apart. This card shakes its inhabitants to the core, everything they have built based on egos will be exposed, think like a public humiliating bankruptcy, but on a higher level of thinking, you are being freed. The more attached you are to ‘the outer world’ the more this will hurt. It will be swift and powerful and your enemies will love it.

Notice the card’s background is still blacked out. You can not see the gift in this situation, how the mighty fall, but it is only a superficial might, one that the Devil controls because he has a domain in this reality. The crown being knocked off is not a halo, it is just a material crown, if you can get past this, you will look back at the rubble of your past and be joyful that you have moved on from it because there is a more profound state of being even here on earth.

During this time, a lot of people are drawn to deeper knowledge, pain does that to humans, this is a time to seek higher wisdom, it is an awakening. It may take some time, but you will be reborn, do not be tempted to seek other fast roads to ruin in order to stabilise, they too will fall. You are due to ‘wake up and nothing can stop it, but it can be more difficult than it needs to be if you continue to apply fear and ignorance, so be careful.

XVII. 17. THE STAR. ♒︎. Revelation. צ TZADDI FISH HOOK.THE NATURAL INTELLIGENCE

After facing The Devil, and admitting that you are in captivity in this reality, then this awakening turns into the breakdown of your illusionary reality you arrive at The Star. Finally, the card reveals a background, no more darkness like in the previous two stages. We find ourselves facing pitchers from the sea of the collective subconscious. She pours into the pond, and onto the fertile ground of her higher dimension. These actions are similar to Temperance, an alchemical process where you are being separated from the ‘fog’ and refined. Her actions are meditative and repetitive, a task of purification, but notice she is still ‘working there is a task at hand. Her foot is not submerged in water, it rests above because she’s aware of the collective subconscious stream, but now she has some awareness of it, so she works for it without being in it ‘in this world but not of it. The card shows a divinity in working. The Star watches her. The ibis as a symbol of fishing means fish is being collected. Higher work is being assigned to you, it is meditative, it is peaceful and ordained. it helps others.

Aquarius is about the collective benefit, thinking globally and overall for everyone, it’s not particularly personal for the individual. This work is for the benefit of Mankind together. You have to meditate on this, on the shift from the previous darkness finding peace and healing in the design and the divinity on some waking up and some staying behind, for now, the work needs to be done and it is good to work. This is the card of revelation, here you are exposed and all that is pure about you can be successful in the quest for divine expansion.

XVIII 18 THE MOON ♓︎ ORGANIZATION QOPH/ BACK OF HEAD

I have to admit, this is my favourite card. These 7 cards and their significance are my favourite study, and the moon is the card I romanticise daily. I love its ambiguity, its secrets and its lunar deceptions. It’s a Piscean bazaar. it encapsulates my ‘in-between space in which I mainly reside in my current incarnation.

Sometimes I crave for the star and the moon to be in reversed order, but the moon is 18. The crustacean is climbing out of the collective unconscious water, and there is a guiding path for this creature. even though the Devil and the tower were such difficult stages there is still work to be done, this is work of emotional intelligence. On the path, there is a tamed dog and a wild wolf, both howling at the moon, their instincts are still one when it comes to the incantations of the moon, but which one is the truly evolved? If you notice, the moon is also the sun. The image of the Hermit leading the cresent, with 15 yellow drops 15 to 22 makes the last 7 cards of the major arcana, the veil of drops waiting by the pillars of the unknown. What lies beyond those pillars? That is something that will be explored in the dream real, this card represents sleep and the mysterious nature of dreaming, are you in the astral plane when you move past the known? You may wake up to remember absolutely nothing, such is the nature of the 12th house of illusions, it is hidden magic. Are you lost in the mundane world in a type of hypnotic illusionary dream? Or are you so dreamy that you’re forgetting to ‘live?

This is the card of being lost, dazed whilst having the truth revealed, when you wake up you know instinctively what you saw, but the clarity of it is so elusive, like forgetting a dream that had an important message. Stay alert and focused whilst travelling this dreamland. Don’t get pulled into illusions, the Hermit lightens the winding path for you if you can overcome the incantations at the back of your head you will start to make sense of your sleep self.

XIX- 19- THE SUN- RESH ר - HEAD OF THE BODY-⊙-

We have reached the Sun, the naked innocent child on the horse of good fortune with the red flag of Mars, empowered for a new adventure. This child carries the feather of The Fool because he is The Fool, empowered by the previous twisted descent that has been so painful at times, but now that he has reached the Sun again those challenges are in their true perspective. It wasn’t pain, it was a mystical adventure and this child is enthusiastic for more. He has already set off, the garden is contained by a wall and he is out of the boundaries of the beautiful garden.

The Sun shines for everyone, awakening is available to everyone and when we are recharged with awareness we are children again, we are excited about the possibility that life presents, including the tests. The Sun is restorative, fertile, healing and warming, it is fortune itself. This child knows he is protected, looked after, and he left the previous Moon behind, the illusions and mist have cleared, and the force of alchemy is as bright as the sun. The sunflowers are turned to the child because the child is a ray of light belonging to the sun itself. The fool forgets that he is always protected and watched by the sun, but the child has remembered this.

This card is always welcomed, it brings a warm comfort in any spreads, of course, it has a lower octave, everything does, but overall it reminds us of higher emotional intelligence that always shines and exists, no matter what personal decisions we make to bring darkness into our experiences, the sun will always be there regardless…maybe until it’s not.

Judgment Realisation shin serpent’s tooth

Another of my favourite cards, The higher Spiritual self is awakened and now it is time to be lifted into a more suitable dimension. This card is a beauty to decode, and with every card the possibility of meanings are endless, you will always see more than you did last time. The work of learning is never done, so it’s always good to keep the ego in check.

The grey people in the card are coming out of coffins that are floating on the waters of the collective subconscious, there is also a tsunami coming because the time to restart the ‘project’ has come to the collective. That wave is the end of the world as we know it, those ready to resonate to a higher tone will be collected. The angel, Gabriel may be, it’s very much disputed, has his trumpet which has been very much awaited. There are six people in the image, but one woman in the right-hand corner has hair that is actually coloured, the child next to her has a little colour at the top of his head. She is also receiving all the ‘sounds’ from the trumpet. The trumpet is emitting 7 lines of sound, like our 7 chakras which have a note each. This lifting is for her.

The other people may have come so close, but may have to go through more experiences to finetune their energy, or every person in the image is her, different incarnations, with the small child starting to develop colour in the hair in that previous life which was short, she then completed her alchemical work in her current incarnation. It’s really individual how you read these interpretations.

To be judged is to have our actions reviewed, this card reminds us that nothing stays in the darkness, and we will have to face our choices one day, the choices we make every day are ‘taking us somewhere. Are we conscious of how we affect others? Of what we emit to this version of reality, and of the slumber that has fallen over everyone? To become conscious is to be aware, to be aware is to know and expect that wave to hit.

The Angel, possibly Uriel or Seraphin, has an alive brown tone, with blonde and red hair, is she becoming alive like him? Notice he’s coming in grey clouds, because that day the trumpet sounds may be a gloomy day for the collective. The trumpet has the Saint George flag attached to it, a flag that has meant many different things all over Europe notably the flag that now represents England, but once Genova, it is in fact a flag that represents different places, to me it is the military representation, The Crusades that invokes the feeling that this process of being lifted to a higher octave has involved ‘wars of angels’.

It is important to note that many do not see this card as a ‘last judgment, I do, in the sense that I see it as an upgrading of intelligence, nothing to do with learning more, but actually just being at one with the design, balancing the self. I think it is a natural stage. No one ever gets left behind, but we may not all be on the same timeline.

XXI 21 The World TAV ת

Finally the last card of the series. The word represents completion, the good work has been done! The being in the middle is warmly soft, graceful ethereal, but the planet that represents this card is Saturn, the harsh teacher and Karmic giver. It makes sense because the journey was full of restrictions, harshness and karma. In spite of Saturn’s reputation, it actually loves nothing more than to see hard-earned aged success.

We see The four fixed signs of the earth’s cyclic design. The wreath is sealed (as above so below) with the red ribbon of infinity because it all starts again somehow. The figure holds the wands of both her conscious and unconscious self and now she yields both. This is the dance of cosmic consciousness and it is in perfect balance. the possibly androgynous being looks really familiar to the angel of judgment and the male figure in the devil card. We have been playing all our roles, The creator is a mirror that’s been broken into tiny fragments, each fragment looks back at the whole. We are all connected, just separated for the experience of self-discovery.

The mandorla which is a birthing place, the tunnel from which chaos is ordered frames our protagonist who is stepping forward but looking back. This is the eternal dance of equilibrium, and now it is all ready to begin again.
